Safety / First Aid
This course provides the skills needed to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies and choking for adult, children and babies depending on the level of CPT chosen. All include training in the use of an automated external defibrillator.
This course is designed to assist Health care and other emergency professionals to refresh their CPR and AED Skills. This includes practicing all the basic life support skills learned in the 4 hour course, including 1 and 2 rescuer CPR & obstructed airway management, child and infant CPR and obstructed airway management.
This course is designed to work in conjunction with the OFA Level 1 course and focuses on recognition of potential spinal injuries and how best to prepare the patient for transportation to medical aid. The 70-hour Occupational First Aid Level Three Course provides training to industrial first aid attendants enabling them to alleviate suffering or even save a life. Training will range from scene assessments and soft tissue injuries to administering oxygen and transporting patients with spinal injuries.
